Benefits of U-WIN Portal

Digitally recording every vaccination under the Universal Immunization Program would ensure timely delivery of the U-WIN vaccine dose to all pregnant women and children aged 0 to 5 years. “It will target 2.9 million pregnant women and 2.6 million infants (0-1 years) annually with 11 vaccines against 12 preventable diseases — diphtheria, measles, rubella and tetanus — with over 1.2 million doses on defense across the country,” the the official said. With a single click, citizens can access a digital, identical QR-based e-vaccination certificate similar to the Covid vaccination certificate at any time.

U-WIN will act as a unique data source for advocacy services, providing real-time updates on progress in vaccination and birth outcomes, including information and prenatal outcomes , newborn registration, and vaccination at birth, among other things.

Through the U-WIN website or its Android mobile application, citizens can choose which clinic they want to vaccinate, schedule and register for vaccination Automated SMS notifications to citizens indicating registration, dose administered, impending dose to guarantee vaccination if given within time and age and report the case

 

Registration or Sign In Process on U-WIN Portal

  • First of all, go to the official website of the U-WIN Portal i.e https://uwin.mohfw.gov.in/home.

  • On the homepage, click on the register/ sign in option on the top of the screen.
  • A new page will open in front of you.
  • Here enter your mobile number.
  • Now click on login option.

Citizen Self-Registration Portal

  1. Registering newly pregnant mothers, infants, or toddlers.
  2. Tag a registered woman in the reproductive age group as pregnant.
  3. Add an infant or child related to an already registered mother, father, or guardian.
  4. Make an appointment for the beneficiary in sessions that are publicized and create appointment slips.
  5. The Self registration module can be accessed by going to uwinselfregistration.mohfw.gov.in.
  6. For new Co-WIN users or beneficiaries who have already registered After entering the mobile number, select “Login.”
  7. After receiving the OTP via SMS, click “Submit.”
  8. The self-registration Dashboard page will be available.
  9. The dashboard page will provide the list of CoWIN beneficiaries who have received vaccinations if the cellphone number has already been registered in the CoWIN portal.
  10. There will be sections on this dashboard providing Primary Member and Linked Member member details, option to schedule an appointment, view vaccination information, and add a new member.
  11. The “Add Member” option on the left-side menu can be used to add new members.
  12. A single mobile number can be used to register up to 10 beneficiaries.

Tag a registered woman in the Reproductive Age group as Pregnant

  1. From the registered beneficiaries in the primary or connected members, choose the beneficiary who is within the reproductive age range.  
  2. The beneficiary’s name, year of birth, and reference ID will show.
  3.  Select the “Tag as Pregnant Woman” tab.
  4. A form for expectant mothers will open, requiring them to fill out several facts, including the state from the drop-down option, then choose District.
  5. Subsequently, select the date of the last menstrual period from the calendar.
  6. Next, answer the query, “Is there any pregnancy before this?”
  7. If the recipient answers “yes,” they can choose the date of the previous pregnancy’s outcome as well as the total number of Td doses taken during that pregnancy.
  8. Press the “Submit” button. The beneficiary’s status as a pregnant lady will be marked on the dashboard.

Sign up for a New Expectant Mother

  1. Select the “Add Member” button on the dashboard page. There will be a “Register for Vaccination” form available. First, choose Pregnant Woman as the Member Type from the drop-down menu.
  2. Next, input the selected member’s Name and Birth Year.
  3. Next, choose the beneficiary’s photo ID proof from the drop-down menu. Kindly select the appropriate Photo ID number and click the Next button.
  4. Following the click of Next, information on the latest menstrual cycle, the prior pregnancy, the state, and the district must be entered, as was seen in the “pregnant women” tagging section previously.
  5. Click “Register” once all the information has been entered. The dashboard’s Member information section will display the recently added member.

How to Register a Child or Infant on U-WIN Portal

  1. Click the “Add Member” button on the dashboard page to open the “Register for Vaccination” form.
  2. From the drop-down menu, choose either Children or Infant (0–1 Year) as the appropriate Member Type.
  3. Choose the Member’s mother, father, or guardian among the beneficiaries who have previously registered on this phone number, along with the beneficiary’s relationship to the chosen guardian.
  4. Enter the child beneficiary’s name (by default, “Baby of {Mother/Father/Guardian}” will be shown), gender, and date of birth. The chosen parent, guardian, or mother’s photo ID type and number are displayed.
  5. Select “Register” option. The dashboard’s Member information section will display the recently added member.

FaQ

Is it necessary to download a mobile app in order to register for vaccinations?

In India, there isn’t a mobile app that is approved to be used for Universal Immunisation Programme registration for vaccinations. Enter the login credentials at www.uwin.mohfw.gov.in to access the U-WIN platform.

Does routine immunisation need self-registration?

No, routine vaccination does not need self-registration. During an ongoing immunisation session, on-the-spot registration is also an option.

Which age groups are able to use the U-WIN portal to register for vaccinations?

On the U-WIN platform, all pregnant women can be registered or tagged for vaccinations, and children up to the age of six can also be registered for vaccinations.
