Eligibility Criteria for Kanyadan Yojana Maharashtra
The bride and groom must be residents of the state of Maharashtra at the time of marriage. The groom must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and the bride must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
One or both of the bride and groom should be from Scheduled Castes or Free Castes or Other Backward Classes or Nomadic Tribes or Special Backward Classes.
Kanyadan Grant Scheme will be given only on the first marriage of the bride and groom. A minimum of ten couples (20 grooms and 20 brides) must perform the marriage ceremony in a formal wedding ceremony.
