Housing for citizens below the poverty line (BPL) is the goal of the Navratnalu-Pedalandariki illu project. Approximately 25 lakh new houses/pattas would be built over five years under the Pedalandariki illu initiative, which translates to housing for all.

 The flagship scheme of the Andhra Pradesh government is the Pedalandariki Ilu Yojana. The Andhra Pradesh government will provide free housing to poor people of the state under the Pedalandariki Ilu scheme. The Andhra Open Housing Scheme is another name for the Andhra Pradesh Pedalandariki Scheme. It was included in the Navratnalu project of the Andhra Pradesh government.

Eligibility Criteria

Rural Area:

1. The beneficiary must be a family with a white ration card that is classified as being below the poverty line (BPL).
2. Nowhere in the State of Andhra Pradesh may the beneficiary possess their own house or house site.
3. The maximum amount of wet land or dry land that the beneficiary may possess is Ac. 2.5 cts or Ac. 5.00 cts.
4. The Beneficiary cannot have been a part of any State or Central Government housing scheme in the past.
5. The recipient needs to have a current Aadhar card. Aadhaar details may only be gathered with the beneficiary’s permission.

Urban Area

1. In the state of Andhra Pradesh, the beneficiary is not permitted to own a house or house site.
2. The beneficiary cannot have received coverage under any State or Central Government housing scheme in the past.
3. The household’s total annual income (from all sources) shouldn’t be more than Rs. 3, 00,000 (the equivalent of just Rs. three lakhs).
4. No more than Ac. 2.5 cts of wet land or Ac. 5.00 cts of dry land may be owned by the beneficiary.
5. The beneficiary needs to have an active Aadhar card. Only with the beneficiary’s permission may Aadhaar details be gathered.

Application Process for Pedalandariki Illu Scheme

1. The Andhra Pradesh Pedalandariki Illu Scheme is applied for by submitting an application form.
2. The application form can be obtained from the secretariat office of the village or the ward.
3. Complete the application form completely, and include the necessary paperwork with it.
4. Fill out the form and turn it along with your documents to the village or ward secretariat.
5. Volunteers from the village or ward will review the application and verify the applicant’s eligibility.
6. The Village or Ward Secretariat’s office will publish the first qualified beneficiary list.
7. Gram/Ward Sabha shall formally approve the recipients’ list.
8. After that, the District Collector will get the final beneficiary list for approval.
9. Once more, the Village/Ward Secretariat office will publish the final beneficiary list.
