On Monday, Odisha Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabinarayan Nayak announced that the government has decided to launch the Odisha Antyodaya Gruha Yojana to help low-income families in kutcha households who are not covered by schemes like PMAY( G) under.
It will also help those whose homes have been destroyed by fire or other natural disasters such as elephant attacks. A budget of Rs 105 crore has been proposed for this scheme.

Under this scheme, free houses would be provided to low-income people who are not eligible for the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (PMAY-G). The government has made a budget of Rs. 105 crore for implementation of this scheme across the country.
The aim of this program is to provide housing for low-income social groups. Eligible beneficiaries will be provided with government subsidies for housing needs. The government will conduct a survey to identify missing eligibility beneficiaries under PMAY-G and implement the scheme. These beneficiaries will avail the benefits of the scheme in a phased manner. As a result of this activity, their lives will become more stable.
