The state government will provide interest subsidy under the Apun Bahan scheme on vehicle loans obtained through Scheduled Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks and Assam Cooperative Shikhar Bank recognized by the Reserve Bank of India. Government employees now get interest-subsidized car loans.

Regular state government employees between the ages of 21 and 53 are eligible for the scheme. This ensures that the employees service period coincides with the maximum loan term of 7 years.

The Apun Bahan scheme has been implemented by the Government of Assam for the benefit of Assam Government employees.According to this scheme, government employees are eligible for 2% interest subsidized vehicle loan. Features of Apun Bahan Scheme Assam
