Government of Goa has launchedGriha Aadhar Schemeto provide financial assistance to women citizens of the state. Applicants will be shortlisted based on the required funding and annual income of the applicants.

Financial assistance will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries on a monthly basis. The list of recipients will be narrowed down by applications submitted by recipients.

On Thursday, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Minister for Women and Child Development Vishwajeet P Rane restricted 3,000 beneficiaries of theGriha Aadhar Schemein South Goa state.

The Home Base Program of the Directorate of Women and Child Development provides financial assistance to all domestic workers to enable them to work independently and meet their own needs. In addition to this, the program raises the standard of living of the families.

Financial assistance will be received directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Recipients have complete discretion as to how the grant will be used. This money can be used for education or to start a business in the country.
