Chief Minister Anil Bhagya Yojana: The much-awaited Chief Minister Anil Bhagya scheme has been launched by the state of Karnataka, which will provide free LPG connections to its residents.
Anyone who qualifies and applies for admission to the program will get a free LPG connection. Meant for BPL card holders only. Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme Objective
The central government’s ambitious scheme failed to reach every beneficiary in the country. According to publicly available data, the Ujjwala scheme has reached only 6-7 lakh beneficiaries, which is hardly enough to meet the need. In addition, state-owned gas companies are trying to improve infrastructure in remote areas so that cylinders can be delivered door-to-door. The state government will also distribute double burning gas stoves to the households of the beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria
Only Karnatakas belonging to below poverty line (BPL) families are eligible to avail the scheme. All construction workers except LPG connection who are registered with Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Board AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) and PHH (Priority Household) ration card holders without LPG connection are eligible. Recipients of hot plans will not be eligible for the benefits. Candidates with Aadhaar number are eligible to apply. Once the form is submitted, the beneficiary’s name will be compared with the 2011 socioeconomic and racial census data.

Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme Funding Allocation
- Depending on the number of beneficiaries chosen by each department’s head, money would be paid from each department to the department in charge of carrying out the plan—the department of food and civil supplies.

Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme Implementation
The beneficiaries are selected by a district level nomination committee headed by the minister in charge of the district. The district level nomination committee will receive the list of residents who do not have ration cards in non-gas households.
The Secretary of State determines the number of beneficiaries by county in the Phase I FPS using the same methodology as after the county-level phase I targets are determined at the national level MLAs on the committee responsible for selecting Phase I beneficiaries receive the MMABY code from the Membership Secretary and a list of targets distributed by FPS. The District Selection Committee recommends to the Government to finalize the list if the MLA fails to do so within one week of receipt of the names of candidates for Phase I.

The list of beneficiaries for the financial year 2017–18 has been determined by the Forest Department. Accordingly, the RFO will be responsible for placing their applications on the General Request Form. Any female family member holding a PHH/AAY ration card who is at least 18 years of age and has been notified of Phase I
benefits can approach the Gram Panchayat office, Janasnehi Kendra, or Bangalore 1 Kendra and submit an application to MMABY Required documentation.
Any Phase I applicant will have to confirm that his house has gas connection by submitting his Aadhaar number at the service kiosk. While filling the application form, the applicant has the right to choose the available agency. Eligible Stage 1 beneficiaries will receive support upon completion of the application process. Application Process for Mukhyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme
In rural areas, the nearest Gramme Panchayat is where the offline application forms for the scheme should be filed, while urban residents should go to their individual ward offices to apply for the scheme.
After applications have been submitted, the applicant’s information will be compared to the SECC-2011 data list to make sure the beneficiary hasn’t already benefited from a free LPG connection through the PM Ujjwala Yojana.
