Implementation Of Telangana Rythu Vedika Scheme
The Telangana state government plans to construct around 2,601 Rithu Vedis in the state. Some 1,580 of these seasonal altars were completed on October 30, The Telangana government has allocated Rs. 572.22 crore towards the total construction cost of Rs. 2.2 million per Rithu Vedika. The total cost is approx. 12 lakh will be filled by the Department of Agriculture The balance is Rs. 10 lakhs will be paid from the MGNREGS fund. Each seasonal altar has two rooms and two bathrooms, covering 2,046 square feet. Electricity and tap water will be provided in addition. There will be 2,462 rural altars and 139 urban altars. For 24 units, donors have come in to shoulder the entire cost. Donors have provided land for 139 units.
