Karnataka Shuchi Yojana :- The Shuchi Yojana, an initiative of the Government of Karnataka in India, will once again provide sanitary pads to school girls. The program, which required menstrual hygiene education and provision of hygiene products to girls, was suspended for three years.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundurao addressed the audience after launching a pilot scheme of distributing free menstrual cups to undergraduate students in government and government-aided colleges as part of Shuchinanna in Mangalore on 11 September .A pilot scheme is underway in Dakshina Kannada and Chamarajanagar districts.
On Wednesday, the Karnataka government revived the menstrual hygiene initiative Shuchi, which had been put on hold for the previous four years. This programme is crucial for female students’ health and hygiene. Approximately 19 lakh teenage females in schools and colleges received sanitary napkins as part of the programme.
Over 19 lakh girls in government and assisted schools and colleges throughout the state (aged 10 to 18) would receive free sanitary napkins from the Karnataka Health Department as part of the relaunched programme.
The heads of the schools will give the girls sanitary pads that the health department will personally bring to the facilities. A pack of ten sanitary napkins would come with every kit.
The female students will receive the required number of napkins for a year. For 47 crores the government is giving away free sanitary napkins to 19 lakh school and college girls from from extremely low-income homes
